XOPOTA is a London brand built on West African wax print. The cloth comes from a long argument between three continents: Indonesian batik, Dutch industry, West African taste. What survived is a printed cotton that reads as African because Africa decided what was worth keeping.
We cut it into underwear because underwear is the one thing nobody sees and everybody chooses. It is where taste is private. Wearing colour underneath a plain suit is a small, deliberate act.
The cloth
Printed cotton and elastane. Soft, breathable, and cut to move. Every seam is finished with contrast overlock topstitching, so the construction shows rather than hides.
The batch
One hundred pieces per style, per run. When a batch is spoken for it closes and the next one opens. Nothing is made that is not already sold.

Osu. Labadi. Jamestown. Bonwire. Ntonso. Places in Ghana, each one attached to a print.
